How many of you pull your Outstanding Recalls list, and call everyone of these consumers? 🚘 🚀
This would include current consumers, and a TON of LOST customers you have an easy way to get back. ❗
🚨 Canadian law says;
– you can contact a consumer via Phone/Email/Text for a Recall, even if they are outside of the 18/24 months since last transaction, however…
– if they are outside of the 18/24 months rule (channel dependent restriction), you’re not allowed to “sell” to them, if you were otherwise not allowed to communicate with them via that channel (a channel is a contact method (ie. phone)).
– It goes on to say that, you can contact a consumer 100% of the time for any recall outstanding, even if they unsubscribed in the past, except not only you can’t sell to them, but if they request to be unsubscribed, you must unsubscribe them (even for recall(s)), and not continue to re-connect with them.
📢 Here’s my take:
– Pull your Recall Outstanding list, and run through 100% of it every 3 weeks, until you get an answer of some sort from the consumer.
– Calling/Texting/Emailing is as close to free to do something of value for the consumer, and get them in your shop now.
– If you can’t balance the when they told you to unsubscribe for a recall, or when it was a normal-coarse-of-business unsubscribe, do this;
1. Call/Email/Text 100% of the Recall List
2. On the second run through the list (3 weeks later), just honour the unsubscribes in your DMS per normal.

🚫 You can’t execute on the Recalls Outstanding list, because:
– Don’t know how, or
– Don’t have access to the data, or
– Don’t have the man power, or
– Don’t have the time, or…..
